The goal is to create, in the Township of Uxbridge, the ideal community for supporting active healthy lifestyles for young children. The Take TIME campaign has many aspects, as recommended by the project partner organizations and parents and caregivers of young children in Uxbridge. Free, fun, family activities will provide physical activity opportunities twice per month. Project partners are working to develop guidelines to enhance the healthy environments and programmes that they provide. Parents and caregivers told us that they know WHAT to do to get a healthy lifestyle for their child, but often they do not know HOW to make it happen. Our “Do It” tips provide simple ideas for lifestyle changes that can be done literally, in a minute, so that they can easily fit into already hectic lifestyles.
