A recent grant from the RBC Foundation of $21,000 allows for a Family Facilitator with personal experience to connect with families on a one-on-one basis, offering support and advice. This interaction has made a positive impact on the emotional well-being of the children and families who have accessed the services in the region.

While the Family Resource Centre contains numerous resources for families in-house, the Disability Awareness Coordinator is available to make presentations directly to schools or groups needing information on dealing with special needs and or disabilities. These presentations help increase understanding, awareness, tolerance and acceptance.
Grandview Children's Centre provides services to thousands of children and youth with special needs and their families living in the Durham Region.
