This bright and colourful Christmas craft activity is a ton of fun for young children to make and just perfect for a Christmas-theme unit!
The Sweet Smell Of Christmas written by Patricia M. Scarry is an adorable book to read to children for Christmas, and there are so many great activities to go along with the book, like this Marshmallow Painting Christmas Tree craft for kids.
So, what are you waiting for? Let's paint a Christmas Tree with marshmallows!
Craft supplies you will need:
- White card stock
- Paint in a variety of colours
- Large and small marshmallows
- Plates for the paint
Pour brown paint onto a plate.
Taking a large marshmallow, have children dip the marshmallow into brown paint and make a Christmas Tree trunk on white card stock.
While the Christmas Tree trunk is drying, pour green paint onto a plate.
Then, have the children dip a large marshmallow in green paint and stamp a Christmas Tree on the white card stock.
After that, have the children take small marshmallows and dip them into different colour paint and stamp Christmas lights on their Christmas Tree.
And, voila, the children have now made a Marshmallow Painting Christmas Tree! What a messy and festive Christmas craft activity for preschool and kindergarten children! Just perfect for a Christmas-theme unit!
While the kids are marshmallow painting their Christmas Tree, play Jingle Bell Rock Christmas song for kids in the background.
