Groundhog Day Snack Recipe For Kids
This simple and cute Groundhog Cupcake Snack craft activity is easy for preschool and kindergarten children to follow and tastes super yummy. Just perfect for a Groundhog Day-theme unit.

Cooking supplies you will need:
- Muffins
- Chocolate icing
- Smarties
- Small marshmallows
- Vanilla wafers
- Plastic knife
Cooking directions:
Have the children add chocolate icing to their muffin.
Next, using a plastic knife, have the children make 2 small slits on the muffin top. This will be for the Groundhog ears.
Then, have the children insert 2 vanilla wafers into the small slits.
After that, have the children add Smarties to their muffin, for the Groundhog eyes and nose.
Lastly, have the children place 2 small marshmallows on their muffin for the Groundhog's front teeth.
And, voila, the children have now made a Groundhog Cupcake! What a simple and delicious Groundhog Day snack activity for preschoolers and kindergarten children. Just perfect for a Groundhog Day lesson plan!
