2 VandenBos Whitby Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron is accepting new members on September 11, 2019. Membership is FREE and open to male and female young adults between 12 and 18 years of age. The Royal Canadian Air Cadets is an organization for Canadian youth between the ages of 12 and 18. The program's aims are: · To develop in youth the attributes of leadership and good citizenship; · To promote physical fitness; and · To stimulate an interest in the Air Element of the Canadian Armed Forces. To accomplish this, cadets participate in a wide variety of activities. They also receive valuable training in areas such as leadership, air studies, survival and public speaking, to name a few. Additionally, the program instills in cadets life skills such as organization, time management, responsibility and accountability, all of which will remain valuable long after they have left the program. The information session for interested new members and parents/guardians will be held at the Father Leo J. Austin, 1020 Dryden Boulevard in Whitby starting at 7:00 p.m. For more information, please visit our website at www.2vandenbos.org or call 905-922-1232 and leave a message.
