Halloween this year is going to be very different, with all the COVID restrictions and health concerns. One fun thing you can do is have a spooky Halloween family movie night! Here's our list of some great, kid-friendly, not-too-scary, Halloween movies that everyone can enjoy together. Make it even more special by having the kids (and parents too) dress up in their costumes to watch the movie, and maybe have a few Halloween "treats" with it too!

Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie

It's Halloween in the Hundred Acre Woods, and Tigger is scared after seeing a mysterious figure in the woods. He warns his friends about the supposed Gobloon — a monster that returns every Halloween to catch residents of the woods and turn them into lanterns. But Tigger says that if the Gobloon is caught, he will grant them one wish.

When ever-hungry Pooh ends up eating all of Rabbit's trick-or-treat candy, Roo, and Lumpy go off to catch the Gobloon and wish for more candy.

Spooky Buddies

The fifth installment in the Disney Buddies franchise — the same which gave us Air Bud — follows the Buddies on their quest to stop Warwick the Warlock, who has unleashed the ghosts of no-good hounds on the town.

Hotel Transylvania

Count Dracula runs Hotel Transylvania, a destination where monsters can take a break from the human world. But when 21-year-old Jonathan arrives on the premises, Dracula must hide the human visitor from his guests and protect his "teenage" vampire daughter from falling for him too.

Introduce your kids to this classic around Halloween, when ghosts are on their mind. But expect them to want to watch this film all year long.

After the members of a team of scientists (Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray) lose their cushy positions at a university in New York City, they decide to become "ghostbusters" to wage a high-tech battle with the supernatural for money. They stumble upon a gateway to another dimension, a doorway that will release evil upon the city. The Ghostbusters must now save New York from complete destruction.

Hocus Pocus

Boil, boil, toil, and trouble. These three witches, who are reincarnated suddenly on Halloween, are on a mission to reconquer their youth and wreak havoc on a small town. Luckily, thanks to one boy and his little sister, they have much difficulty standing in their way.

The Addams Family

The spooky Addams family tries to determine whether a member of the family, Fester, is actually who he says he is. In the meantime, viewers gain insight into the rest of the eclectic family over the course of the quirky film.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

This Tim Burton classic follows Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King, on his mission to bring Christmas to Halloween Town. But when he kidnaps Santa Claus, things go a bit awry.

When a recently deceased ghost couple discovers that a family has moved into their haunted residence, they hire the evil spirit Beetlejuice to drive the parents and their teenager out for good.

It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown

The Peanuts gang celebrates Halloween, while Linus skips trick-or-treating to wait for the Great Pumpkin. This is a classic and, although a cartoon, will be a welcomed trip down memory lane for older kids and adults.
