One of the best ways to keep the kids cool (and active) this summer, is to hit one of the many fabulous local splash pads. We've compiled a list of some of great places in Durham Region and the GTA where you can take the kids and let them get soaked. Have fun, get wet and keep cool!!

Rotary Park, Ajax

The Town of Ajax owns and operates 3 indoor pools, 1 outdoor pool and 5 splash pads

We live in Ajax so one of our favourite splash pad is just a bike ride away from us at Rotary Park on Lake Driveway. Rotary Park has so much to offer with 2 great playgrounds, a rocky beach and trails that are perfect for biking, running or roller-blading on.

McLean Community Centre - 95 Magill Dr, just off Westney Road also has a great splash pad (with a skate park and playground beside it)

Memorial Pool at 55 Harwood Ave S is a fabulous outdoor pool for families with all ages of children. It's right beside the Ajax Public Library so you can hit both places in one trip.

Carruthers Marsh Pavilion - 55 Ashbury Blvd South (west corner of Ashbury Blvd. and Audley Rd. S.)

Audley Recreation Centre - 1955 Audley Road North (Audley and Taunton)
Please Note: Public access to the splash pad will be through the facility only. The doors will remain open on weekends and holidays from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

There was also a small wading pool at Exeter Park at 124 Exeter Rd. However, due to ageing infrastructure and safety concerns, the Exeter Wading Pool is closed as of 2019 and will be permanently decommissioned.

Adam's Park just off of Port Union on the border of Pickering and Scarborough at 2 Rozell Rd. Adams Park is a 15.8 hectare park located near Port Union Road and Highway 401. This park features two lit ball diamonds, a multipurpose sports field, a splash pad, a children's playground and a picnic area.
